RASFF Egypt Produce Monitor

The EU's Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) publishes every notification raised on food entering the EU. This page tracks notifications concerning fruit, vegetables and herbs originating from Egypt, refreshed monthly from the official RASFF Window portal.

Our reading of this data is simple: Egypt is a world-class origin, and these issues are preventable. Almost every notification below concerns something an inspection at origin is designed to catch, residue risk, decay, labeling, before the container ships. Use this page to know where the risk concentrates for your commodity, then verify at the packhouse.

This page shows the raw notifications. For the trend in one number, see the Egyptian Produce Quality Index, our monthly index of EU alert pressure on Egyptian produce, where 100 is the 2022-2025 norm and higher is better.
