L(t) is the severity weighted count of EU RASFF notifications on Egyptian fruit, vegetables and herbs over the twelve months ending in month t: each notification counts 3 if it carries an acute risk hazard family (pathogenic micro-organisms, mycotoxins, natural toxins, environmental pollutants, heavy metals, chemical contamination), 2 if it carries a substance that is not authorised in the EU, and 1 otherwise. L(base) is the average of the 48 twelve-month loads ending in each month from January 2022 to December 2025. Above 100 means less alert pressure than the 2022-2025 norm, below 100 means more.",
